Group Skate to Brooklyn Met skaters at 11:00 at the Columbus Circle then went to Brooklyn via 59th Bridge.
Skated through Navy Yard, final destination was "Uncle Luigi" 7th street on 7th avenue.
After having a big ice cream cone, skated Prospect Park for one loop. Because of a hot weather and high humidity and alos extremely slopy course (Park Slope, Brooklyn), felt like skated lot of miles, but actuality, it was not as much as normal Sunday Morning Skate. Pictures :: DATA :: Skates: TR Mag 3 Course: Col. Circle to Brooklyn Run: 25.5 km. Weather: Temp. 89F (30C). Winds 4 mph, Events Clear, Humidity 77%.

Battery City Park Turned down an invite for a beach-skate (what an attractive one!), because I was not confident that I can complete a long run without being attacked by a jet lag. Skated within Manhattan instead. Made a round trip to Battery City Park. Met some friends. Weather was so nice. I truly enjoyed the roll. :: DATA :: Skates: TR Mag 3 Course: West side H'way - Battery City Park R/T Run: 18.0 km. Weather: Temp. 78F (25C). Winds 5 mph, Events Clear, Humidity 50%.

Ueno CR (City Run) Joined Ueno CR. Ueno CR (stands for City Run) is a group skate held every Sunday morning starting Ueno Park to Gaien via the Imperial Palace.
It was my first group skate in Japan. Met skaters at 09:00 @ Ueno Park, departed @ 09:30 and skated Tokyo Metropolitan area.
Due to traffic condition of Japan, about half of the entire course was on pedestrian, so it was kind of relaxed pace roll.
Got caught by rain near the Imperial Palace, so, the CR was terminated in the middle of the course. Had coffee @ Starbucks in "Tameik Sannou" near "Shushou Kantei" (Prime Minister's Office). Met a lot of great people, I really enjoyed the skating. :: DATA :: Skates: TR Mag 3 Course: Ueno - Shushou Kantei Run: 7.0 km. Weather: Temp. 70F (20C). Winds 5 mph, Events Overcast - Rain, Humidity High.

Ring Ring Road Went Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture to skate on "Ring Ring Road", that is a 26-mile-cycling road converted from an old rail road. Asphalt condition is pretty smooth.
Skated about 15 miles. Met some bikers but no skaters.
It seems that inline skaters are very rare there, because, some dogs we met were very surprised by seeing us (skaters). We were barked by dogs a couple of times.
They must have been scared.
It was a very gray day, but luckily had no rain. :: DATA :: Skates: TR Mag 3 Course: Tsukuba Ring Ring Road: partial Run: 25.0 km. Weather: Temp. 55F (12C). Winds 10 mph, Events Overcast, Humidity High.

Jingu Gaien I had a plan to join a group skate, Ueno CR (CR=City Run), but could not make it due to jet lag. Went to Jingu Gaien Park again. No car is allowed during Sundays and holidays, so skating on the loop is more enjoyable than yestereday. In this park, it seems that ball games are not prohibited, that means there is a danger to be hit by a ball. Temparature dropped to 55 degrees, but there are quite number of skaters. :: DATA :: Skates: TR Mag 3 Course: Jingu Gaien: Loop several laps Run: 6.0 km. Weather: Temp. 60F (15C). Winds 6 mph, Events Overcast, Humidity (50%).

Skated in Tokyo Today is the first skating in Tokyo where I arrived last night. Went to Jingu Gaien which is a park in Shinjuku area. Skated "loop" for four to five laps. This park is relatively small for skating, a "loop" is only approx. 1.5 miles or so. Surface is OK, could be smoother. The best thing is that there is no pot hole at all !!! (unlike NYC roads) Temparature has rose over 80 degrees today, but expected to drop to mid 40s tomorrow. :: DATA :: Skates: TR Mag 3 Course: Jingu Gaien: Loop several laps Run: 7.0 km. Weather: Temp. 80F (26C). Winds 13 mph, Events Overcast, Humidity (60%).
